AKM Anchorage Masonry was founded in 2023 by tradespeople who had spent years watching masonry work in Anchorage get done by contractors who did not fully understand the conditions here. Freeze-thaw cycles, permafrost-adjacent soils, and the legacy of the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake create challenges that most out-of-town contractors have never dealt with. We started this company to fill that gap.
We are based right here in Anchorage - a city of roughly 291,000 people wedged between the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet, where winters are serious and homes take a beating every year. From the ranch homes in Spenard to the larger lots up on the Hillside, we have worked on properties all across this community.
Since 2023, we have completed masonry projects across 16 service categories and 12 communities throughout Southcentral Alaska. Every job gets the same treatment: a clear assessment, a written estimate, and work built to handle Alaska winters.
